CS918 HFW 1.2.0 1080p - H264 stream decoding problem

Hi,

I'm owner of this very interesting tv-box. My main concern is about a video stream decoding. I want to stream from my computer dvb card a 1920*1080 i 11 Mbits/sec H264 + AC3 . They're both connected with ethernet.

Streaming works on another PC even on Wifi, it also works on my smartphone Huawei ascend P2 with Vplayer on Wifi !!

I tried all applications on CS918 with no success :

Mxplayer with correct version (found on geekbuying) => laggy on HW and HW+ decoding
Vplayer => crash when activating HW decoding
VLC => crash when activatiing HW decoding
BSplayer => laggy with HW decoding

Of course all of these are very laggy with software decoding.

it worked before.. but after updating to 1080kernel nolonger? (title post)

have you tried a recording a bit.. then move it too the cs918.. the play it
to see if its a file/codec issue or not
then do a speed test.. to see if thats the issue

How does 720 do?
on a personal note...
How does this new firmware perform/feel?

No it didn't work with original kernel same apps.
Good idea, i will try the recording ,then local playing.

I haven't tried the 720 firmware but i don't think it's a firmware concern, it seems to be incompatibility between RK3188 and hardware decoding..

This firmware seems fine, not bullshit installed . Playing mkv stored on my nas through network works fine, even 1080p ...

I will update later today.

Well, humm, after Mxplayer updated by itself, local playing of recorded file was fine. It's still laggy / crashing with all other players.

I tried again the streaming and WTF !! it's working fine also ! Still have a desynch issue between sound and pictures but it's smooth and sharp picture.. i'll continue investigating for the resynch of sound.
