is there an actual use of the numbers found on most IR remote controls? I mean wouldn't letters or media buttons be more useful? It seems a waste of space for me as they useless or am I missing something?

Lol, man, I was wondering about exactly the same thing. These numbers are something from the past, we actually don't need them on a modern smart TV. I definitely agree with you that it's a simple waste of space, they could have placed something more useful there. By the way, I believe in different spiritual stuff, and I was thinking that maybe these numbers do have a special, hidden meaning. Maybe some hidden features that we don't know about.
