        Speaking of MX Player.

I had some MP4 video that I playing with a few days ago, where every player, including MX Player exhibited micro stutter.

Then an update was released to MX Player and the stutter was gone.

I was unable to locate popcorn player in google play or google. Some others I like are es3 explorer...has cloud support for several hosts..and will do samba...another is "Mizuu" or "Mizuu lite" which pulls in cover art and descriptions of the video's you might want to view. Crackle will also stream some older shows for free. I wanted to recommend airdroid but the app refuses to recognize I have a usb to ethernet dongle attached and active...keeps prompting me to either enable wifi or cell/mobile when I try to start it. I'll have to find a decent method of remote "admin" of the tv stick. I'll probably install cheapcast on it as well so I can stream to it from assorted devices on same network. The author of ClockWorkMod has released an app that lets just about any browser or device stream to a "chromecast".

You can get popcorn player on Aptoid. Google banned it for some reason.

Thanks. Another good one is "Null Keyboard" which will prevent the software keyboard from popping up and blocking half the screen since we have a hardware keyboard.
