Newbox 1GB/8GB S905W v7.1.2 (Freezing Issue) + Firmware Questions

Hello folks,

I have a few Nexbox 1GB/8GB S905W v7.1.2 that I recently bought and they all have freezing issues. What I mean by freezing is, the screen locks up and I cannot move anything, so I unplug the power and plug it back in for it to function again. They came with 7.1.2 installed and I even did a factory restore, but they still freeze up.

I also have a Nexbox 2GB/16GB S905X that came with Android 6.0.1 and I recently updated that box to 7.1.2 firmware and that too is freezing up sometimes. I did not install or uninstall any apps on either box, so it MUST be the 7.1.2 firmware, because I cannot think of any other reason why this is happening. Please tell me, am I the only one this is happening to or are there others experiencing the same issue. I never had this issue with Android 6.0.1

Is there any firmware newer than the 7.1.2 for the Nexbox S905X and S905W chipsets?

Is there Android 6..0.1 firmware for the Nexbox 1GB/8GB with the S905W chipset?

Any simple and easy custom ROMS to install for both or either boxes? Can I go from 7.1.2 back to 6.0.1 on the S905X boxes?

Any help or guidance would truly be appreciated. Thanks!

I would recommend you return the boxes if you still can.
You are going to have endless software problems on them that will never get fixed.
Do some research and buy better supported S905X, S905W devices.
There are lots of reviews and info on freaktab about well working ones with custom firmwares.

Hey mo123, can you please show me where custom firmware for the Nexbox 1GB/8GB S905W are located?

No custom firmwares exist for that device because support is so bad, it's non existent.
You can try to flash Beelink W95 or Tanix S905X firmware to it, but lots of things like wifi might not work or it might not even boot.
But maybe it's a risk you should take on one box to be able to make the others work better.
