How did you restore it? Its Rar file

unrar and then put the folder into the twrp backup folder which you can do a backup to create

Thank you so much for sharing this backup. I restored boot logo and system from twrp , I got bluetooth worked, but wifi still does not work. somebody know why?

Great thanks!! Can you tell us how did you install TWRP first without removing the OEM Firmware in order for you to back it up, I have second device coming and I want to install TWRP to backup everything?


EDIT: Also its a RAR file, are you sure that this was backed up using TWRP, did you rename the file or something?

Could it be backed up using the original recovery or no?

my son did this for me.its a bit over my head.i have twrp on my box now instead of normal recovery.i installed petrus reboot app. from playstore and simply click on reboot to recovery using that and it goes to twrp.it is ready for when a compatible custom rom becomes available.not used it to restore rom because there is no other firmware source at the moment.dont know if you can back up using original recovery.i would say no.it is twrp 3.2.1.0 if that helps.

Okay, perhaps I am missing something her but as far as I read / understand:

The QCA9337 is based on atheros / qualcomm technology

therefore I do not see how the rom you mentioned could help as the chipsets seem to be incompatible.


So there are drivers for this as I understand (see above link), but our Kernel doesn't support module hot plugging so we can't use / load it .

The kernel source for the amlogic s912 is available here:

, but one needs to fill in a form and send it to amlogic to receive the code.

I am not sure if this helps, as I am not aware that IF we could build the new kernel - which ultimately could be built with the correct driver straight away, it could be flashed at all.

i did not think the kernel has changed at all.the new firmware on latest boxes has three wifi drivers .6335 6255 and 4335.
