Home made 15.6" Android tablet, MK908 inside

    Home made 15.6" Android tablet, MK908 inside

    Main board is MK908, i solder a external antenna and get a much better wifi signal.
    System is Android 4.2.2 of jjhmod v2.1, a very nice rom.
    There is an optical touch module attached to the 15.6" usb-powered LCD.
    Power comes from a 5000mah mobile power bank.
    Duct tape all the parts to the 15.6" LCD, it turn into a big tablet.

    One day i found that i have all the parts for tablet pc. So i build it for fun.
    To be honest, i still don't think of a good application. Maybe use it in my car?
    Any ideas are appreciated.

      do you think wifi work better with external antena ?
      can you stream movies at 720p?

                    components

                    The usb-powered LCD can be found here "http://www.gechic.com/buy_en.asp"
                    They sell capacitive touch screen also, but the price is too high.
                    I take optical touch module from "http://www.xat.com.tw/index.php"
                    Optical touch is much cheaper than capacitive especially for larger screen.

                    The usb power tank has two port, 0.5a and 1.0a. Antenna is also easy to buy.

                      720p has no problem. External antenna is no doubt better, you can detect signal from far away.

                          The "module" i meant is hardware.
                          To enable XAT touch driving, i need to tweak the kernel of mk908.
