Christmas Help needed with SMBOX SM2 - S905Xmini 1GB/8GB AP6051

EDIT: found the Stock Rom - but I still have a couple of questions:

This rom is missing the Navigation Bar and Notification Bar, even when I switch over to Nova Launcher. How can I bring these back?

Almost every app in Google Play Store says "Not compatible with this device" - iplayer, netflix, pretty much nothing works.

Is this fixable or is this box just a bad egg? Are there any custom roms that would work better? XannyTech's is not supported.
