I don`t understand why people are having so much trouble with Ver 3 boards?
I`ve had my MK908 for a few months now and havent had any issues! With all the GREAT work from Finless and ALL the other developers here, my ver 3.0 stick is running Great! I`m running the 1.3 ver of Hoabyscr ( sorry I missed spelled) here w/XBMC with no issues at 1080P/60hz. i do have a gig usb ethernet adapter, a 5v 3amp power supply as advised from these forums. Every new rom that comes out runs like a champ! Am I one of the lucky ones because of no issues? I haven`t modded my stick in any way, no heat issues, no freezes or randome reboots. nothing! i do have the video jitter like everyone else only on certain movies. and I`m sure that will be taken care of sometime soon. thanks for all the Great work done here!!!Tags: None

With your current ROM, have you tried to run it using the original power supply? If not, could you please try with that. Does the ROM boot up successfully?

Here is what I have running
First Hoabycsr, my apologies for miss spelling your name sir. My stick is dated 2013.5.13 and was purchased late May, also, before I received the stick, I heard that the enclosed power supply was junk so I ordered this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I am also using this adaptor for internet: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 , this is what I use to control the whole thing; http://www.amazon.com/GKM681R-Wirele...ywords=gkm681r thru a powered 4 port USB hub. My wifi router is only 10 feet away and I only connect at 65meg, but I had a gig Ethernet cable accessible so why not use it! I running rom: MK908-android.4.2.2.jjhmod.v1.3 and XBMC runs great! Yeah, even it crashes every once in a great while. With that, who needs Netflix. And until I see that a REALLY good fix is available, I'd say I'm set for awhile. Yes I have used the original supplied power adapter and it seemed to work, but why take the chances. and I have flashed a lot of roms since and all booted fine. The one mentioned above worked good so I have stuck with it for the past month or so. Thanks again to all the developers in this forum! Program on gents, program on!! have one on me!

can non working and good working ownews post HQ pics of their PCB?
maybe it was just bad production?
As it works fine on the stock ROM but not custom ROM's which sucks as the stock ROM lacks any form of decent functionality compared to the custom ROM's the devs on here are making.

looks just like mine
My V3 board looks just like your pictures. if you look close, you can see GND ANT at the lower right of the date stamp. the G and N are upside down! too funny! and I have the same peal type thermal something or other for the back side heatsink. This is glued to a smd. No other distinguishing marks as to V3a or V3b.

It does not make any sense. You all got the same board. Same assembly day. And some got issues and some are great?
What about the power supply are you using the same as in pictures above?
What about the memory chip brand? Is the same manufacturer for all? I remember that in other android devices the memory chips were different

I am one of those that have an "earlier" (ordered in June, received in beginning of July) V3 board that doesn't have any problems. If you are needing comparisons, there are numerous chipset pics in my sig (under MK908 cooling mod post, click on the thumbnails in post to enlarge). Maybe you can spot a difference that could indicate manufacturing differences?Question Reality: Find Your Own Truth!
