With the fan in suction mode temperature peaks at 63°C with stress cpu. With the fan in blowing mode temperature goes close to 70°C

    My ambient temperature is 32°C

Edit : it has a 40x40x11 heat sink as well
Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. Since I've tried similar alfo in the past, let's say that the dbramm22 method sounds much more beautiful, you'll see nothing besides the device. On the temperature, 32 ° c is great, but 40 ° c is a normal temperature a SoC that supports high temperatures. The big problem is that it exceeds 50 ° c. Currently my device is powered on 3.3v with 56ohms resistor to reduce noise, the temperature is fine for me. The only drawback is wue is open and that it gathers dust.

If you look at my screenshot. In the left hand of the screen it shows the temp. Gaming and 4k, I haven't seen it go above 60C.

I used a product called "Fujik" heatsink compound to attach it to the CPU. It dries and is very similar to the original compound that came with the unit. Removes easily with some force.

Hi dbramm22, how did you attach this Fan / Headsik on top of the processor, did you use thermal blanket or thermal paste only? Could you show me the material you used and how did you weld it in the background? Honestly, your work has been one of the most perfect I've ever seen, it's a shame I've already drilled the cover of my device, but if I can buy this fan I'll close with something because it gets a lot of dust.

    DAMN!
    Sold!
    Thanks.
Is it quiet enough with the top cover on? No need to reduce speed?

Yeah, the side vents on this box is pretty good at least.
Just did the OTA updates. Fixed my youtube problems.

5v is to loud for me so I think I'll open it back up and resolder to a 3.3v source.

    Here's a link to the unit, although the one I purchased was on E B A Y - Just search for "AP3505LB-J70(S)"

    Reasonable (ish) price in US
Way too much from aliXpress ($25)
    POA in the UK !

I'd fit a resistor, or one of those little <$1 Buck driver things ...

    Nice looking fan/HS

I guess you can just solder a resistor on the feed.

Who cares what you think, it has gotten pretty obvious to me from all your posts on this forum, that only your solutions are the only ones that are acceptable.
