I ve read the whole thread but am still confused on what to follow and which parts to buy.
Anyone mind helping out? I know my basic soldering well.
Cheap 30x30x7mm Pi Fan mounts internally with std. HS
Cheap DC-DC Buck variable output converter, or a resistor (normally 50-60ohm), or a couple of diodes, to slow the fan.
    Switched USB power as above.
    Hole/holes in the lid.

Youtube answer - Power points on Pro L

Underside - Safer +5V USB solder points (please ignore the copper plate!)

Topside - More dangerous +5V power from a resistor ...
and a good position for 0V from the Ethernet port shroud

Hello P.X , I would like to ask you for a help, I know it is a little out of the context of the topic, but could you tell me which of these "pins" should I call so I have the option to reset? This device do not come with the on-board reset switch. I can not connect to the PC or SD card to recover the device.

Exactly lol, how do we need a 3D printer, right? I would make a patch with the same lines as the M8S Pro stylus ... No, I would do the whole upper case from scratch much cooler with outlets and air! I

You also know that this was not the intent of the text, correct? I thought, maybe I should spell it out in the text, but I thought later, he will understand what I said. Yes, it's just a suggestion, if he wants to challenge himself to do something new he might try this. I think he's been challenged all this time, whoever sees his videos knows that.

This desing is beautiful! ... But it is still not enough for me to perform on my ... Try to pre-fill the hole in the lid with perforated screen for acoustic box or screen of metal, you glue the inside of the lid before you put on the tape or you can make a floor that fits into the hole. Be creative, convince me!

    Ta

    Forgot to say ...
The fan grill is cut from the fan orifice in the pressed steel backplate on an old set-top box.
Sprayed black and superglued in place.

See Post 2 ... 38 - 40mm heatsinks for a dollar or 2 are noted as the best passive options.

I am sure your magnificent blue HS is a leftover from an earlier project - cost about 18-20 USD when new ! now sold out.

Just taking off the lid would probably solve most peoples issues, but not everyone likes the open box look. It is the cheapest simple solution.

Removing the heatsink is probably more dangerous than soldering to the large USB pins on the underside (ask Ronnie about heatsink/box death )

Everyone to their own - must say I do love your Big Blue HS (Stegosaurous ? Mohawk ?? Franken-sink ??), but I also love my slimline 30mm fan and flat grill
