VOYO i8 Plus ( reinstall firmware and more )

Hi all, here is an interesting tablet, features:

- Android 7.0
- MTK6753 Octa Core 1.5GHz
- Battery Capacity(mAh): 3.7V / 5000mAh, Li-ion polymer battery
- dual ban
- 3GB RAM 64GB ROM
- Dual Band 2.4GHz / 5.0GHz WiFi
- Dual SIM 2G/3G/4G
- GPS: Yes
- Bluetooth: 4.0

+/- = 160 $

Overall the tablet works really well ( except the 3G et la 4G data mobile ), but we can phone with the tablet.

I did several tests ( install root, twrp, ... ) and I managed to break the tablet.

So I did a little tutorial to fix the tablet:

Need :

The ROM = http://en.myvoyo.com/xiazai/V%5Ftabl...8%5FPlus/down/
The drivers PC = https://romprovider.com/2017/03/vcom...n-window-html/
The SP Flash Tools = https://romprovider.com/2017/03/down...-version-html/

Repair or reinstall :

1) completely extinguish, the tablet.
2) install drivers ( vérifier que le driver est bien installer ).
3) install The SP Flash Tools.
4) unzip the ROM, in the PC.
5) Open the SP Flash Tools ( in administrator mode ) :

a) Go to ---> Scatter-loading File and click on "choose",

b) Go to the ROM unzip and select the file "MT6753_Android_scatter.txt", Open,
all boxes must be checked.

c) option ( Download Only ) or ( Format All + Download, if you had a problem ).

d) Click on "Download".

6) Just plug the tablet to the PC.

Wait for the yellow scroll bar to finish.
Unplug the tablet and start the tablet.

Then I relied on a clone of the tablet for, unlock the boot.

This is where I am currently in my research.
I still do not find a good TWRP to install, I do not find either the ROOT.

My goal is, to install an alternative ROM ( resurrection remixOS ) Link :https://abrhambebh.blogspot.be/searc...&max-results=6
But I need at least the good TWRP.

So if someone to find a good TWRP and others to test, I am ready to do the tests.

OK, I managed to make a TWRP RECOVERY for voyo I8 plus 4g ( with carliv image kitchen ).

The TWRP RECOVERY works perfectly.

I try to install the custom rom ( ressurectionREMIX or lineageOS for MT6753 ), but that is not compatible.

I continue my researchs.

It's great to hear that you've found the way to install TWRP recovery. So could you please provide a tutorial? Having the proper TWRP you are just one step away from rooting the device. You can use Magisk app to install stemless root for instance.

I had to personally translate into French, after if you know a can litlle android, It's not difficult.

Personally, I offered this tablet, because the 3G and 4G mobile data, does not work, otherwise it's a very good tablet, really.

Now, I am waiting for, the new (VOYO I8 Max MTK Helio X20 Deca Core 4G RAM), she must be on sale +/- le 15 march.

Thanks for the links to XDA. Well, I tiedto use Carliv Image Kitchen. Unfortunately I can't make it running on my win764bit. Honestly, I tried all this time since you posted here to make it working but it just doesn't want to. I tried to find any other solution but I failed. I just don't know what's wrong and I gave up upon further trying.
So would you be so kind and upload the custom recovery for VOYO i8 Plus you've made? Having this recovery I'll just port it via SP Flash Tool. Could you help me?

The description sounds good. But it seems to me that I also got a good tablet. Found in the article Dragon Touch 10 Inch. I was not familiar with this brand before, but I decided to take a chance - the price is not high. I will say this: the tablet fulfills its task. I took it to surf the Internet and watch videos on YouTube.
