Steps to replace Android with Linux

I just plan to purchase Amlogic S905X based TV box (with Android)
I want completely replace Android with pure Linux LibreElec. Not dual boot, only Linux should be installed.
The LibreElec need boot from eMMC by default, then from SD, USB when upgrade is needed.
Please advice how to correctly replace Android with Linux distribution (LibreELEC).

I know that LibreElec created for Kodi only.
Is it possible use Amlogic USB Burning Tool to flash LibreElec image to eMMC? Or this tool is for factory Android images only?

I run LibreELEC from a microSD card on all my boxes rather than internally. It is recommend to use the microSD card vs. internal, but it can be installed to the internal nand or eMMC memory using ssh into your LibreELEC. The Android tool will not work to create a LibreELEC based box, I think.

The internal memory reserved for Android image? The SD card performance is slower than embedded eMMC? Does installing LibreElec requires new bootloader?

Those are questions better to be asked on the LibreELEC forum.

If you boot Armbian from external SD you can backup internal eMMC with 'ddbr' tool.
If you boot LibreELEC from external SD you can install it to internal eMMC with 'installtointernal' tool (or name like that).

              Success
