MK908 Best Rom + Kernel

    MK908 Best Rom + Kernel

    Hí All .)

    I am writing here, because many of the new improvements, and I do not know which one is good.
    I be curious, which one is the best.

    It is important that the work go well (rom + kernel)

    - no reboot(Antutu test)/OK?
    - web camera/OK?
    - Wifi/OK?
    - Wifi speed/contact/OK?
    - 720p/1080p Video playback/web streaming/OK?
    - OTG support/OK?
    etc...

    First of all you should had specify you version of 908, and search a little bit by yourself.
    T428 ,Radxa Rock (RR), cs918s v1.0, waiting for my X7...

      I'd like to know the answer/opinion to this question too.

      I've been on the board for a few months reading absolutely everything and still have no idea. I'm on Finless 1.5, 720p kernal, with the latest stable release of XBMC (12.2) and it reboots when it gets too hot which is usually right in the middle of a streaming movie. It's extremely annoying, and a buzzkill when watching with friends/family.

      So searching might help you become fully aware of all that's available but there is no clear answer or suggested serving for the "best MK908 + XBMC" setup.

        With 20 stickied threads with various models and versions, how could anyone with a mk908 be confused.

        As someone who frequents this subforum, the stickies are out of hand.

        As for OP, none of the roms/kernels are perfect but they are certainly leagues above the manufacturers ROM. I personally use the lastest from http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...Alpha-Download with a 720p kernel. Don't use xbmc so can't comment on that. Netflix and Google play music streaming are buggy but no other complaints from me.

          There are many version of 908 but only one seem to have problem 3b. Version 1,2,3,3a work with almost every kernel and system, only 3b have problem. Simply flash with finless, if it suck you have 3b. Hoabycsr nearly work days and nights to find solution for 3b many thanks to him.

          Now for XBMC, looking at post it seem a perfect software with no bug... XBMC have bug, it is like most apk only Beta for life and there are many tweek to be apply for every device, I am not telling not posting question about it but don't wait to have perfect play just with an install.

          For the 1080p play from wifi network, at 65Mbps we are on borderline in data transfert to be able. Even profil 10 for 720p is not safe.

            Thank you, I appreciate it. I'm really not much of an expert at this, just got into it like 6 months ago but I'm glad my work is helping some people.

            I just wanted to let you guys know that I told finless to take my old stickies down and just sticky my most recent, which I released hours ago. Here's the link, it is what I am running on both my V1 and V3 currently and I'm very pleased with the performance. Wifi could always be better on these sticks, though.

              Although quite a few guys around here try to make and play with kernel and rom mods, I find the newest one from Tronsmart, the most reliable of all, "Tronsmart MK908 08/02 Android 4.2 Stock Firmware"
