    drive letters in windows PC

    h96 pro plus 3gb/32gb

any options to be able to have the local connected drives to this unit be seen as drive letters in Windows explorer? to transfer and share files back and forth?

    Thanks!

I used this a while back to do just what you want.

Thanks, will give it a try but I was looking more for an ethernet connection transfer like in my western digital live media player.
does thus unit not have sharing in the options menu somewhere?

everyone talks about streaming but no one reviews how these boxes handle local content

Might also be worth checking out Openwrt on Android or Samba file sharing apps.

By default, most of these boxes don't have dedicated file sharing NAS style functionality.

Some custom firmwares do have the facility added and the great developer Superceleron does this with some of his custom firmware, so worth searching the S912 section of the forums to see if there is one for this box.

Here is a video for one that I have just tried and is easy to setup and use. It will appear in windows file explorer under networks, where you can then assign a drive letter.

          Thanks!
with the stock firmware I could never get it to work. probably not rooted or did not have write functionality enabled.
i used this same app webdav server on the superceleron firmware and it worked great. the thing is it only works with wifi right?

so there is no option for ethernet sharing?

In settings on Webdav you can change the connection type from WiFi to ethernet.

Cyberduck client is good to use on the PC end.

My box is connected via ethernet and easily accessible.

are you using h96 pro plus? what firmware are you using? I can connect fine and browse the folders in windows explorer but that is all, to transfer it basically locks up windows explorer.

webdav server connects fine but no transfer
tried samabadroid but it says device is not rooted. even though I am using superceleron firmware

Superceleron's roms are not rooted. You have to flash MAGISK or SuperSU after flashing firmware and the update.
