    Problem installing this rom

After i erased the NAND (IBD) succesfully. (it counts to 2009, or something)
I try to flash the rom. But first it does some things and when it wants to test my device it says "ERROR: Test device failed"
    See link for image.

    And see my log file

I really hope someone can help me out here, because this is not good for my rage.
I know i'm not the only one who has trouble with Windows (7) recognizing my CX 919.
But all the given solutions don't work for me.
I've tried it on 2 laptops, using multiple usb ports and trying different methods.

When i plug the CX 919 in on my laptop and i leave it plugged in, every now and then i get a pop up from Windows that it doens't recognize the USB-device.

          Nope, not working

Does it matter which hdmi-port (TV or laptop)?

I had same issue one time. Can you look in to windows system snd system32 folder. See if rockusb driver shows in either of these. Or you can just do a search for it. If you see any delete them. Reboot. Then take stick and plug it into ps for a minute or two. Not usb on pc. After that. Now try pc again. I do not know why thos worked. But it did. Its worth a shot. Good luck.

Thanks.. Gonna try that.. What do you mean by ''plug it into ps for a minute or two''?

If you follow #61 steps you wait for the PC to Bing or ding or whatever sound it uses then release function button on cx919.
If no ding from PC then it wont work.
Nothing except hdmi and Otg usb connections.

Did it work when shipped? If so it should be good.
Does the blue light lit? If so it is NOT dead.
Believe me I have struggled with it many hours.
Then I realized that I didn't follow the instructions that people advised.
You may have to remove the rockchip drivers completely from your PC.

Again read Bob's readmefirst in (carefully) the finless 1.5 after unzipped.

I appreciate your faith, but i really am out of options..
I read the readme very carefully and tried both methods several times.
I also tried it with a factory reset, with windows system restore etc.
Also i've tried the suggestions from this forum but everything stays the same.

Fyi the CX 919 works perfectly on my tv, But just doesn't connect to my laptop
To answer your question: blue light does lit, yes.

remember,OTG port is the usb connector to use for flash...

i personally dont use HDMI conected when flash, just OTG +button and connect to USB on your pc, din bon or whatever.... and install drivers first time.... then restart windows and disconnect usb, wait to complete pc boot... then button + OTG and connect to USB ( better the same) ....ding dong or wathever... open finless tool....find RK device or something like that you must see in flashtool....

if you have succes, remember let cx919 boot after flash, ie dont disconnect the usb cable for 5 minutes.... if you like, can connect HDMI to TV to see the boot....i personally go to take a cigarette :P

                        good luck!

First of all: My 919 has never succeed to connect to my laptop, nore another one (i've tried 2 laptops).
I've never had Rockchip drivers on my laptop.
Is there a possibility that the stick works fine, but that he's broken in someway because he can't connect to the laptop? Or is it so that when it works, everything should work?
Isn't there an installer for Rockchip drivers?

you can not install rockchip drivers until Windows recognizes it is trying to connect

The key issue is that Windows may have installed the MS drivers for it. If so it must be removed. Otherwise it just won't work. Did you try to turn on the USB (connect to pc) from the cx919 settings? Cx919 will ask if you want to turn on the USB storage. If so turn it on. Then use the finless tool to switch it. (the device 1 must be pink first. Then green afterward )
If you don't ever get pink on device one then your PC is not connected to cx919.
