    Oma's CM10 for PIPO M9

i have just found about this custom rom and i wanted to spread the good news (users reported that it works on Pipo M9 but the only issue is you dont have soft volume keys)
mainly the dev made it for the Chuwi V88 but if you replace the kernel from the M9 it should work
there should be no risk as soon as you dont flash the bootloader
if you want to try CM10.1 alpha
v1.2.1 with Android 4.2.2 click here
for JB 4.2.2 SDK2.0 with multi window and working skype check this thread here
or in case you want to try Oma's other roms like Paranoid or AOKP check here

    changelog

First Android CM10 Test Build for rk31board

    - CWM 6.0.3.1 recovery
    - system ext4
    - kernel #11
    - internal Storage 4,0 GB
    - device spoofed as Nexus 7
    - ethernet support
    - init.d support
    - gameloft compatible
    - USB-Hub enabled
    - gamepad compatible (PS2, XBox, ...)
    - kernel modules (cifs, tun, lan, serial)

    - MX Video-Player, Apollo & Volume +
    - Reboot Menue, CPU Tweaker, Pimp my Rom
    - Dateimanager HD (Root)
    - Trebuchet & Nova Launcher

    Instructions

    download both files cRom v1.0 / format_NAND
Instructions are included in the download pack

You just have to swap the kernel.img from the M9
    M9 Wifi and M9Pro
    M9 3G and M9 Pro 3G

you can also swap kernel from the last update.img from pipo or riley

As an extra measure of safety also used the latest bootloader from the M9 as this is the only part that would put the device @ risk of a brick! use latest bootloader from M9.
As of time of writing the bootloader supplied by Oma is v1.20 and it should work fine.

    Rotation fix
    Edit build.prop
    ro.sf.hwrotation=270

Oma says that to enable video HW acceleration, Bubbleupnp is needed. Can you check with popular video player like BSplayer if HW accel works? Thanks

Well initial test is not very good, clearly an alpha build. I flash it with version 1.2 of the bootloader and the kernel.img from Riley 1.9a. There's a 1.24 bootloader included but I did not try it.

Oma does say that there will be soft reboot while filling the dalvik cache. What I experience is a LOT of these reboots, especially when doing some thing for the first time, like accessing a particular part of an app, running new apps, etc. It will soft reboot, showing the boot animation.

Feature wise, WiFi does not work on first boot, but work after the first restart. The WiFi icon is grey the whole time, something I've never experience on a 4.2.2 ROM before. Connection seems OK and stable, however it's a bit flaky, in a sense, if I turn it off, I cannot turn it back on again unless I reboot the tablet.

Bluetooth is not working, cannot turn it on.

Camera also does not work properly, it will take pictures as normal, but the resulting photos are blank image.

Antutu score is 14K ish, rather surprising since in the OpenGL ES 2.0 test I can see the FPS is higher than what I get with multiwindow version. Oma seems able to get 18K+ score on the V88.

Hope the next release will be better

well what can i say it is still an alpha build

and yes dont flash that bootloader 1.24 , use only pipos m9 bootloader

My device is M7Pro 3g and I flash the CM10.1 alpha3.I follow the instructions but the system can't recongnize the internal sdcard. The notification bar shows the sd card safe to remove.

Did you flash Format_NAND.zip using CWM on first boot? You have to copy this to your external SD card.

Sorry, I can't help you further then. Maybe you can ask Oma himself on his thread over at XDA. Good luck
