Just got MK908

Yesterday got the MK908....flashed with finless 1.5 but have these problems....

wifi is really bad.....on bootup is good than gives me out of range
xbmc stutters
seems slow compared to my boxee

how would I know what version I have ?

any suggestions what firmware to use ?

Try this official latest rom first, i am happy with it: http://www.mediafire.com/download/3f...0802update.rar

if it doesnt work well for you, try the other modded rom and kernels.

I think you cant know without open it.

I am using XAF XBMC + Mx Player without any problems.

i also have the bad wifi problem,so i flashed with the finless rom and still the same,i too bought it for xbmc which runs really bad,im putting it down to the crap wifi signal! this is by far the worst product i have bought,i cant even open a web page without it dropping!
i was going to try opening it up and trying to put the antenna on the outside which i have read worked for people with the same problem!
does anyone know if there is any soldering to do while doing this, because i am crap at soldering!
also this is my second one,i got the first replaced for this problem! and this is the same!

ok today sorted many things I have installed the firmware by hoabycsr, bought a usb to RJ45 adaptor so fixed wifi problems and installed XBMC with fusion addons....Only 2 problems remaining are: 1. The Timer is one hour behind (have left the settings to autodetect date and time)......2. When I run xbmc and watch a movie I still get the android bottom icons visible....any way to remove and have full screen movie? 3. I need to find a 2.4Ghz controller with keyboard as am using the MK908 in my bedroom and don't have place for mouse

thre is an android app for your phone if you have an android phone! i use the mele f10 and it is excellent, as for the icons i dont get that on mine maybe its in the settings, i figured out why the wifi was so bad! after taking the lid off to see if anything was out of place i noticed THERE IS NO WIFI ANTENNA WIRE, so i ran a piece of wire through the case, powered it up and what do you know wifi signal excellent, before i could not even open a web page without it dropping, just started streaming a movie from ice films for the first time with no lag! not sure if it is the same problm with yours but there is a good chance it is!
just pop the lid and have a look!

i have friends that use that exect one and have no problms with it! i prefer the air mouse remote myself but that one will work fine!
on the navigation bar it has a little arrow facing down, press that it goes to full screen!

after powering the device off is there a way to power on from remote ? Or do I need everytime to disc/connect the usb cables manually ?

Try this app for always fullscreen, its rocks! I think its must have for android tv box and tablets.
