under the hood of the mk908!

hi guys while trying to fix wifi issues with my mk908 i cracked it open in hopes to find something not right or out of place that would fix the absolute garbage wifi on this stick, in doing so inoticed that from watching finless bobs 'the inside guts of the mk908' you tube video that on the side with the heatsink there is a little antenna that presses against the case when closed and on the other side there is a wired antenna soldered to the board and stuck to the casing for wifi' check the video and you will see it,anyway when i opened mine that wire is not there and there are no traces that it ever was, has anyone else noticed this when opening theres? i am going to assume that this not being there is more than likely the reason why there is little or no wifi,
i am not very good with this end of it but can someone who knows about this clarify if this should be there or did i pick this up wrong and this wire is infact for somrthing else altogether!

I have had XBMC problems with the MK 908, but my WiFi is spectacular. My router is on second floor, 908 on First floor. Sounds like a defective unit.

thanks for the reply, but this is my second i had the first replaced with the same problem! in the last few hours i fixed a wire to the side with the heatsink where the other antenna is and the wifi is much better, it was only a lazy job to see if it would work, so i will do a better job and hopefully it will be ok!

think ill be changing to ouya!
