Cannot boot Linux images on Z69 S905x box

Hi everybody,

i have a Z69 4k box, which is a S905x based device. I tried every single Linux build and dtb but none of them actually boot. Weird thing is that LibreElec works just fine. The only thing i managed to get with a linux distro is the s905x boot logo when i used LibreElec dtb.img on ubuntu xenial 3.14 build.

what can i do? would extracting/decompiling the original android dtb help? how come libreelec boots just fine but linux wont even show boot logo?
