    this function has stopped working

I have a bunch of X92 3/16Gb boxes, on which I all flash the same latest stock firmware.

With only 1 box I experience the problem of the frequent pop ups " playstore has stopped working" - "media launcher has stopped working" - " Bluetooth has stopped working " and so on.

Sometimes it's only 1 pop up, but on other occasions they all come one after each other.

I have re-flashed the firmware already 3 times with burning tool, and also tried 3 different power adapters, including a 3A Minix adapter.

The same happens with some newly installed apps, when I open them first time they close of their own and I get the pop up xxx.app stopped working. Can reopen them 10 times and each time the same. When I uninstall and reinstall the app the problem is solved.

Few times already also the whole box freezes up. I use an air mouse and can still move the cursor on screen, but nothing responds.

I have tested the RAM with Ram filler, and it seems to be genuine 3Gb.

Box runs very cool at below 50°C

Any idea where I should look for the fault?

    Some thoughts

Faulty nand/emmc comes to mind (return box)
    or
You 3rd box has differend hardware (means you flashed incompatible fw on it )
    or
Cache is not being flushed ( do it manually: setting/storage/internal/cache data)

    Cheers

      Thanks for the answer.

Boxes are all identical, so firmware is correct.

My thoughts were also about the eMMC. Is there a way to test it?

You mention manually flashing cache, does the mean do it frequently, or is this supposed to be a one time operation?

It sometimes will work for a few hours before I get any of these symptoms, and I have a feeling but I can be wrong about that, that the frequency of them decreases over time.

mitchell4you I have one more observation to report.

The normal flash procedure is connect to PC by usb cable. At that point there will be some power as the optical out lights up, but burning tool doesn't connect yet.

Next connect power adapter and burning tool will detect the device and start installing firmware.

With this device when I connect to PC by usb, the optical out doesn't light up.

I connect power adapter, optical out lights up, but burning tool doesn't detect device yet.

Unplug power adapter, optical out remains lighted up, then connect power again and burning tool detect device and start loading firmware.

        I ran the following test

I connected a 2A phone adapter to the USB port of a few other X92 boxes , and they all will light up the optical out, but the devices won't boot.

When I connect the power through USB with this box, the optical out will not light up. Though when you unplug the usb cable it will flash briefly

Does that tell you anything more?

          More update.

Found that as long as I keep the box on Android 6 there is no problem. When I upgrade to 7.1.2 ( 11/12/2017) the problems start.

I'm sure the file isn't the problem as I have flashed it on several other boxes without issues. I have both OTA and USB version of this update, and both have the same problem

I also downloaded the usb version again to be sure, but still same.

I try to find the A7 version dated 20/10/2017 but can't find it. The OTA version of official A7 ( no date ) available on 4pda fails to install.

If anyone should have a link please post it here.
