It appears that Netflix in HD is dead for some of these Mecool boxes, not just this one.

Netflix won't run on unknown devices anymore. You'll need Widevine L1 + Netflix Certified device to run androidTV Netflix.

hello there, i update te a95x pro to the lastest stock firmware and ther is a problem with the google cast receiver apk, it´s stock at the 1.27 version and i can´t update it with google play (gets error) even manually.
does someone know how to fix it? because i can´t cast anything.

Hı guys I was trying to flash brunomsg 's stock firmware. But now Im on m8s pro w firmware and when I try to flash it to my device Im getting error 7. Its about my props not same the zip file and twrp not allow to flash this rom to my device I need help I cannot fix that problem have a nice day

I ordered this box based on the perception that it was good to go for Netflix. It arrived yesterday and it seems I'm going to be sadly disappointed.

Anyway, I found this thread and I WAS able to install the update but sadly Netflix is still a no-go. I'm not 100% but I think it was just a security patch update to December 2017.

For us with A95Xpro any news ?

Also i check wireless update option and find that there is a new firmware 7.5mb only but when i press install, box reboot and error status 7 appear on screen. Any doubt about this please ?

I saw in previous comments from people who made it recognized as mecool's box and netflix returned to HD. Any chance of doing that and working?

Hi guys, I bought a nexbox a95x pro and it worked perfectly for a few days. However, now when I open netflix, it tells me "netflix encountered an error. We'll try again in ... seconds.
Code: NW-6-404.


One only thing I did was install an update via ota ... My device has a kernel:
3.14.29 eric @ ubuntu-server0003 # 5 Wed Jun 20 10> 20:35 CST 2018

Version number: A95X_PRO-7.1.2-201806201412

I have already returned the factory settings from the android menu, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and the error persists. Do you have any idea what that might be?

I am pretty sure about it. This is because my friends at amlogic told me that s905x can be modified to work like s905w. That is how they did it. Use a downgraded version of s905x and then implement widevine to make it look like s905w.

Ok, but that does seem strange, because the "W" is a much cheaper SoC.

Here is the build prop from my Nexbox A95X Pro. But it is NOT the original firmware that was installed from the factory. BUT, it is now supposedly, back to the stock, minus the Widevine Level 1, which is now in heaven.......

Edit. Of course I had to add the .txt to the end of the file. This website will not allow a .prop file to be upladed, I assume for security purposes.
