What's the point of installing TWRP? USB Burning Tool is awful

What's the point of installing TWRP when all the ROMs require USB Burning Tool? The tool never works for me so I'm not sure what to do, all I'm getting is that the file is larger than target device in TWRP and all kinds of different errors in USB Burning Tool, stuck at 2 and 7% with loads of different USB to USB cables.

have you got key file for the amlogic burn tool? Some vendors need key or it wont flash...
