Mxq 4k with Rockchip Board (Android 6,0, 1g ram 8 g rom) prepare IDB Fail

    Hi Guys,

I have a problem flashing firmware to my Mxq 4k with Rockchip 3229 board 1 Giga RAM and 8 Giga ROM that came with factory firmware Android 6.0.

I have the original firmware delivered by supplier and did flash it twice, because it just got broken (probably from electricity outage as we did have some infrastructure refit in our town).

The Android Tool and.or Rockchip Batch tool recognizes the box as MASKROM or blue box connection but it fails to flash saying IDB fail.

See all pictures of the box, board, flashing app, etc.

    Hope you can help me.

    Albert

      Hi gefattern.

Sorry for delay. Yes I did it, prepare IDB fail showed up again.

      See the photo.

Same with Android Tool, Rockchip Batch Tool and Rockchip Factory tool.

I know that the box is not dead but I do not know what to else. Any idea of intervening on the PCB or not?

      Thanks,

      Albert

        Hi ,

did you solve it , i am in the same Situation with my UT3 , can not restore it the "MaskRomMode" way ,

did you already tried to "shortPins" ??? , or did you only try it in "LoaderMode" ,

u need the MRM to restore your Box , i think .

          Hi,

I short-pinned the chip it but only activates "MaskRomMode" . I do not know how to make it to "LoaderMode". What is MRM?

          Greetings

            Hi ,

MRM is MaskRomMode , if Box is in MRM u must flash the Rom , does it work ???

LoaderMode is the stock way to connect , press recovery/reset , plug in USB , plug

in Power ( if your Box need it for flashing ) , & restore your Box .

            greetings / gefattern

              Hi,

No in the MRM mode, prepare IDB fail always shows up after flashing. The LoaderMode does not work even after i press reset button and at the same time plug usb cable. The MRM mode activates always after I pin the chip.

The only thing I did not test is press reset button and pluging it in power maybe it requires additional power for flashing.

              I will let you know,

              A.

                Hi ,

some Boxes need Power for the Stock flashing way , others not , i think you , as i with my UT3 , having problems

with a corruped IDB , the only way is by UART or maybe by CommandConsole (Win Pc) or Linux , but i am no Dev ,

we need really a Tutorial for that and someone with Knowledge about this things ,

                greetings / gefattern

                  Hi,

Thanks for quick response. I tried with power cable, the results are the same. With cable it shows "download boot fail". The box is still alive I do not know what to do with it.

                  Thanks,

                  Albert

                    Hi ,

i think that your "Bootloader" is locked or soft bricked and the only way is to use UART or maybe

a bootable Linux SDcard for your RK3229 Box , if Linux boots from Sd , it must be possible to

format the"Nand" with Linux and later restore with Android , a User gave me a Link for my , in

nearly same Situation RK3288/UT3 Box from 4PDA , where it is shown , but only for RK3288 ,

but i think the way is the same for your CPU type . Look in ( UT3 bricked / IDB bricked ??? )

Thread , to find under RK3288 / Ugoos , maybe you want to look .

I am no Pro , and the only Way i know , and can handle are the "shortPins" Way , time to learn

                    greetings / gefattern
