Hi all,

I have an old box here from 2014, I'm trying to update Kodi and some other apps, all are restricted and not supported.

Does anyone have the latest firmware for this box which supports recent Kodi releases or a compatible firmware?

I tried the OTA updater also and it fails. See attached for more info.

i think it is better to buy a new cheap Amilogic Box and use LibreElec , works great on AML , big support ,

maybe you can find a working Firmware somewhere here in the S802 Section , but for this you must know

the exact Specs of your Box CPU/GPU/Wifichip .... , if still available .

or try libreelec (its a Linux distro thats dedicated on running kodi )
Im currently running Leila (kodi 18 alpha2) but krypton is stable (note: have the s89 Vega s802 version)

You might be-able to test libreelec without install to nand by running it from sdcard

just a thought..

Thanks all. I kind of want to keep the Android OS running though, as I use quite a few apps outside of Kodi which is directly installed via Android.
