    H96 Pro+ - How to play 4K in Youtube app / enable 4k in Kodi 17.6?

    Hi All,

Great to be on this awesome forum. I am currently running the Apr 2018 firmware from a Russian forum (someone posted it earlier). Both this one and the stock firmware (Oct 2017) won't allow me to toggle 4K in Youtube app. I wasn't able to change screen resolution in Kodi 17.6 as well (locked @ 1080p). I am wondering if there is way to do it?

    Many thanks in advance.

Is the box working in 4K? Or maybe it's FullHD? Go to Droid Settings -> Display -> Screen resolution and check what resolution is set.

      It's running at 4k2k-60fps.

My TV box has the same symptoms as the vid above...Haha. So it seems root is the way to go? If you can point me to the right direction it would be great. Thanks!

        First: DON'T flash SuperSU

        You need TWRP: https://mega.nz/#!Ji4iEAjI!5iCbS2F9J...cO6-MWb1b-z90I
Put it on SD or USB drive. Than it will be possibole to boot it using reset button.
Next flash MAGISK with the TWRP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/app...mless-t3473445

Than remove YouTube app and flash iYTBP MAGISK module. It should let You force 4K.

There is no root version, but not sure how it works: https://vanced.azurewebsites.net/

Sounds good. I think Vanced YTB will be my goto.

Just remember to disable autoupdate of YouTube app in Play Store. If You update it after installing iYTBP version, than You will end with official app.
