    YouTube TV

Recently working, could be play services or leanback launcher updates.
Latest Pluto and Live Channels, with 120 channels.

Seems the Magisk module daydream fix, fixes all issues with backdrop screensaver. Never had it update from the net on any ATV varients until recently used. Half of the ATV firmwares have broken backdrop, and will error out when activated, the module needs to be installed to correct, but can be disabled once it has rebooted being an active install.

Been playing with DPI, and recommend setting build.prop DPI to 320 and starting with Developer mode minimum width set at 717 after setting screen size set at small in Accessiblity, or just by setting Developer minimum width between 774 to 780 depending on your tastes. A reboot or two should allow the new settings to settle with apps. Realised until I used my custom build.prop that the original custom ATV build.prop was set to 240. Some lean back or ATV only apps won't allow being seen by launcher if DPI is too low.

A wee oddity found on most custom ATV firmwares... The browser is 32bit, if you upgrade it to ARM64 things work better. Like cut, copy and paste of links, and all varients of Pluto, and other streaming apps that use embedded HTML and Hyperlinks. I did enable HTML5 encoding in my build.prop as well.

Another issue is Magisk modules that patch audio may cause apps to fail... namely HBO Go.
Since the firmware I use is 64 bit the patches are 32 bit and will cause issues.

    Working Leanback apps:

    ABC
    Sony Crackle
    ABC iView
    Espn
    HBO Go (US )
    FX Now
    VUDU
    Movies anywhere
    NBC
    Fox Sports Now
    TV player
    Prime Video
    Hulu
    BBC America
    AMC
    PBS
    Sony 4k Ultra
    Terrarium TV
    YouTube TV
    YouTube
    Aptoide TV
    USA
    TNT
    FOX Now

Mobile apps that require older versions

    STV Player
    SBS On Demand
    NatGeo TV US version
    FOX Now US version
Vudu to stream 1080p with DTS

Had made some edits, found I did not make my title clear. Also added some more bit of info along with small additions to my list

One big fix I had found is to make sure base system APKs are 64bit if using custom firmware for ATV or created from a 64bit base. Mostly SuperCeleron firmwares. Base APK files are Chrome, and any add-on that can be used by other APKs as a source to interact with.

Update... Magisk audio patches cause HBO Go to FC, both mobile and leanback. HBO Now is not effected. Though the patches are made for 32 bit architecture. Using them will cause issues with app failures, on 64 bit firmware.

updated my list of compatible apps.

My list is dwindling... The latest Movies Anywhere 1.50 ATV works just fine... had an issue mobile was installed even though they have the same revision when downloading.

Better than Hulu, no mods needed to get 5.1 audio and UHD video playback. Plus you get a free movie.

YouTube and YouTube TV both are effected by the recent update. Both YouTube TV arm64 and arm7 function as long as your on older versions. I see no differences with the two platforms, so run what ever floats your boat.

Added Sony Crackle, also tested older Vudu app, gives DTD 5.1 output at 1080p. Another app to kill Netflix with.

Tested the latedt Tubi TV for Samsung mobile app, and does very well for having a lot of content at 1080p with standard audio.

Testing the latest Movies Anywhere 1.6, to see If UHD and DTD 5.1 still function. Still does, and is one of the few if any non DRM L1 TV apps to do so, besides HBO Go.

VudĂș Aug 9th update is crashing and burning when selecting a movie to play. I figure a server change up is going on, as it seems the August movie and rental sale is going on now. I will be reverting to May update package and will run with that for the time being. Both are slow at populating movies, so no real loss or gain, unless the crash and burn issue is not an Issue with earlier package. Keeping Vudu on the list of working lean back apps, as it seems the streaming server configurations have not been completed as of yet.
