You write Linux to a micro-sd card to boot it.
You chose a very bad device for Linux support.
Devices like the RockPi4 for example is open-source and has several Linux images available to use.

Hello, I am new to this forum and tv boxes in general. Do most of my work on full size pc's. I just received a X88Max + tv box that I would like to convert from Android to Linux or any OS that supports PI-Hole. From what I understand this has a RK3328 with 4GB ram and 64GB flash.

I was able to re-flash the stock rom with the aid of Rockchip Batch Tool v1.8. However it wont let me flash any non android firmware.
Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.

    Pics of the PCB.

Try it and see how it works for you. Run it from Micro-SDcard or USB drive, don't install to eMMC.

Balbes makes "development" images, which will include changes that aren't in the official LibreELEC standard OS images and should work better then official images. So try and see how they work for you.

Will most likely never work as no one is going to work on such a no name device. Decide on what features and support you need first then get a device that supports that. Development boards work the best as they provide a lot of Linux support. It takes a lot of time to get mainline Linux support for a device, needed for LibreELEC, Linux support and if the manufacturer doesn't send sample devices to developers, provide support and make a high quality device, no one will be interested.

I tried this image on HK1 MAX with 2G RAM and 16G FLASH. It did not start.
Is there something I can do to make it work?

The TV box I have is like this one:

Ok... I should cycle through dtb files... I'll do that.

    None works.
