Tanix TX9 Pro dead in the water

I have just plugged the wrong power unit into my Tanix TX9 Pro. It was a 12V DC power unit instead of the correct 5V DC unit. It now does not work at all with no boot message on the front screen. According to the Tanix manufacturer this box should be able to withstand this treatment and not damage it. If this is true then how can I reset and get it working again.

    A troubled Tanix owner.

    Barry Hi and welcome
    12 into 5 normally don't go,
If you open box you maybe will see a component with a small burn mark, that has let the magic smoke out, is fixable if you can find the part and have the solder skills.

Don't feel to bad done it myself, you learn the first time toi check and double check

Should be a law about 12v and 5v barrels never the same should be used...

Have a look here for Pictures and compare, look for the one without the magic smoke in it
