    Threat in Settings

Hi, I recently purchased from overseas a pipo m9 tablet. I installed AVG antivirus & upon scan in the tablet it came up with a threat in settings. It went like this...Insecure privilege mode (rooted). It has recommended that I reset the tablet to factory settings. Does anyone know what this means & how I can fix it. Thanks.

It sounds like AVG is recommending that you un-root your tablet. Most people come here looking to do the exact opposite. Most here would also advise that you simply ignore that warning. Root access allows you to add, remove or modify system files and apps if you so choose.

There is a fundamental risk you take with security when you root a tablet. To most of us here, the benefit outweighs the risk associated with rooting.

Clearly, AVG is trying to get you to consider unrooting your device. Something I would ignore.
