    MK908ii Clone?

    Hi Guys,

I've just ordered my first android TV box - MK908ii.

One question, I've told friends aboutbthe product and they are very interested too, but would not be familiar with android, rooting, development etc. Is it possible for me to set up mine how I like it, create a backup, copy back to micro SD and then restore it on each of their devices?

If they're all MK908ii should this work with any issues?

    Thanks

Yes, you need to flash the clockworkmod recovery image for 3188 on all the devices, then when you have it set up the way you want, you boot into recovery mode, make a backup, then you can copy that back up to your friends sdcard and they can then restore using recovery mode.

Here is the zip for the generic RK3066-3188 CWM:

Obviously not exactly what you wanted as you have to have cwm on all the devices, but there is no built in way to do it.

Just to clarify, in case it was confusing, this will work with any ROM for the 908II, as flashing this only writes to the recovery partition and does not effect the actual android OS partitions. Just wanted to clarify in case anyone unfamiliar with android may think the cwm was an android rom itself.
