H96 pro plus - Custom firmware / launcher / housing

Hello,

I want to change something:

Heat sink
1. What are the components 1., 2., 3. in the attached photo? Is it recommended to put a heatsink on these components?
2. I want to replace the heatsink of the 4. CPU by a higher one. Which max height is possible?

Firmware
1. Where I can see the model of my box?
2. Are there any recommended custom firmwares?

Launcher
1. I do not like the stock launcher of this box. Are the other recommended launchers?
2. I did see this launcher and it looks amazing. Which launcher is that? https://www.techlife.tv/collections/...andriod-tv-box

Housing
1. Is it possible to build a housing made of aluminium? Would it influence remote and wifi signal?

Hi ,

first , Nr.2 is the Nand Chip , Nr.4 the CPU , Nr.3 , maybe a RAM Chip ??? and Nr.1 maybe AudioChip ,

but if you really want to know you can search for the Chipnumbers of each Chip on big G ,

second , this has to do what size your Box has , but i think not higher then 0.5cm more then now ,

third , you can read the Modelnumber on a Sticker on your PCB , or on PCB self ,

four , yes

five , for sure , u must test , a User from here modded the Stocklauncher , download here available

too ,

six , i think it is a Launcher made or modded by them , but Superceleron the Developer of H96Pro+

CustomRom (ATV & Stock) has some great programmed Launchers too ,

seven , i think well , but for this you must know what you do , Signals maybe a little bit weaker , but it

is possible to mod them to external , if you know what you do ,

Hint : dont flash without backup & knowledge you have the right Rom (special your Box) , best you first

read a lot H96Pro+ Threads , example : Supercelerons ones ,

On PCB I did find these information: S32-V6 (LPDDR3), Date: 2017-09-05. I did look the custom roms of superceleron, but I can see SCV7A, SCV4A. What does the SCV mean?

Edit: Ok, its the blue PCB. So I can install the supercelerons rom. I made a backup with TWRP.

Questions:
1. When I use the burning tool: Do I have to let the standard configuration "Erase flash" and "Erase bootloader" ticked?
2. Do I need to install TWRP again after flashing new rom?
3. First I have to install SCV4 Blue (LPDDR3) PCB IMG and then the SCV7A OTA 7.1.2?

Hi there I did exactly what you are asking for. I read here you have to UNTICK "Erase bootloader".
I flashed the SCV4 Blue (singleFile.img) but the CSV7A is some files in a .zip. What to do with them?
I wanted to use the internal update-funktion but I have to choose a file. Which one?

You need to flash v7 the entire.zip file(dont extract) using built-in app updater that come with svc4.
