    WIFI ISSUES

The wifi connection on my CX-919 is great, 54mbps or higher at times. But nothing will connect to the internet. I've tried numerous ROMs and kernels and I'm having the same issue. I've also tried connecting to different router's and AP's and no fix.

Wifi will connect, and signal strength is great, but no webpage will load. Nothing. Every app that connects to the internet cannot. I'm assuming it's a hardware issue, but not sure.

If anyone has any answers or suggestions please help.

WiFi was working perfectly with Finless 1.4, flashed 1.5, nothing will connect. Went back to 1.4 and still no connection. It seems strange with such a strong WiFi signal. If anyone has any advice I'd greatly appreciate it. Starting to get frustrated with this thing. I'm missing something simple, or there's something wrong with this stick.

If you can connect to your wifi AP, then I don't think this is a hardware issue.
Try using Fing (apk) to find out what devices can be found on your network.
Is there a firewall on the router?

      Can't help much more, sorry.
I did have another strange issue with the Play Store not able to connect (while Chrome had no problem).
Turned out the date setting was the culprit. It was still on 1/1/2011 (factory setting). Once I set that to now, the Play Store app could connect.

        My $0.02....

It's always a good idea when your having WiFi issues to turn off your WiFi security, see if can connect and if so, then re-turn on your security and then re-configure the security settings on the stick.

Thanks. I'll try it, but it's doing the same thing regardless of the router/AP I connect to. Strong signal, says it's connected, but no data will transfer.

            Two other thoughts:

            1. You may have overlapping channel noise. Use Wifi Analyzer to see how "noisy" the channel that your network is using.

            2. If you've put in a range extender and it's not configured properly, you can have connection issues even if you have a strong signal.

Do you mean your router? As in change to N only? If that's it. That's strange. As long as he has no older G. ..
