    Stuck on Checking for Updates

Hi, I have an ABOX4 (S905W), and I have been trying to port some ROMS, but almost always I get the device stuck on "checking for updates", have been searching everywhere, tried some solutions, but nothing seems to solve it. I have been using the AMLogic Customization Tool, and tried different porting methods, almost all lead to getting stuck on setup screen.
I have the idea that it might had something to do with google, so tried flashing my ROM and gapps, but after that I didn't even got to the startup screen.
Any help will be appreciated, and any solution tried, thanks

HI thanks for the reply, no actually I got an extra box and I am just learning. I tried ATVX it worked great on my box but with no access to my control. It gets recognized on the system but it does not work. So I used de customization tool to unpack but roms, look at the differences related to the remote, and found out that my stock rom uses a couple of lines on the init.amlogic.rc that to what I understand change the service, so what I did was modified the init.armlogic.rc (on ATVX) and add the files that it make referenced to. Thats when it got stuck,,,

The line on the rc file is "service remotecfg1 /system/bin/remotecfg -t /system/etc/remote_mouse1.tab".

Again thanks for your help, I will keep tinkering with the device, any extra helps will be apreciated

        Hi ,

small Hint from me , dont waste your Time with making your Remote compatible , use a BT Mouse , better

to use , if you need , a Keyboard too , search for a good Rom , if you like the ATVRom , flash new , and stay

with BT Mouse & or Keyboard , on a good running Rom ,

if you more a Dev. and you want to flash and test , if possible buy a second one , and use it as Test Box ,

        good luck / gefattern
