A Similar breed to the the Alfawise A8 a V2 pcb a little different Ui Same

Sluggish, setup Google and Wifi ok but slow.
Downloading and installing updates and Apps painfully slow

Running warm,
Not sure why 5g WiFi on a slowish UNIT, like dropping a V12 on a trike I feel
Bench marks will show she is no speed demon.
I guess it will find a use if the price is right.
The UI looks Ok, as the Alfawise A8 had,

first as possible , let us all try to solve your Problem in the Thread you already made for this &

i already gave a answer , second your Box is not the same , this Box has a "Samsung" RAM ,

your Box , a ICMAX RAM , different , i think yours is a fake or with other components rebuild

Box , if we not know if your Box has really 2 GB of RAM , for sure you can try to flash the Rom

if uploaded , but not sure if it will work or solve your Problems ,

I would like to update the situation.

After some exchange of electronic correspondence with Gearbest, I was awarded some "ilarant" solutions. An example:

Please try the following method to figure it out: 1. Try another HDMI cable to see if it can work. 2. Press the power on button for 50 second and then turn it on. 3. Try another adapter to check if it can work. 4. Please kindly confirm the interface are in good condition, there may be oxidized and try to scrape it with the little blade.

Fortunately, not all Gearbest employees are incompetent, and after giving some information about my box, namely, the "item code" indicated on the outer package, I was redirected to this link.

Regrettably, none of the firmwares in that repository worked.

In the end, Gearbest regretted what happened and recognized that, unfortunately, the product cannot be fixed. I must admit this is a shock to me. I'm not convinced.

Anyway, Gearbest offered me a full refund of the price, which was very positive of them.

trebor In any case, I would be very grateful if I could provide a dump of your firmware / nand, since I have nothing to lose in trying.

I think this box not have real 2gb ram

in truth 1gb is swap ram ( virtual hd ram )

i searched the chip ram d9mtb on datasheet and no info for this chip.

rk3229 is a 32bit soc, i think it no suport 2gb ram (only swap)

note: ICMAX and Samsung NAND chip, It does not have to be the same to be the same box, because it has the same operation

Edit: yes this chip is design for a ddr2 800 2gb ram... and has 3 modules 512mb x4, 256mb x8 and 128mb x16 modules

but is design for ddr2 sdram modules, not necessarily, in that box were placed the 2gb x8 256mb.

the Chinese may have placed only 1gb x8 128mb ics on this board.


but it's just a theory, from the photos posted above. and soc rk3229 of corse.
