MECOOL KM9 Android TV Voice Remote Amlogic S905X2 A8.1 4/32 Dual Wifi Fast lan BT4.1

For those trailblazers who manage to screw up their firmware on this device, here's an Amlogic burn package to restore it to stock: KM9_OPM1.171019.011 V0828.20181109.img.zip

    Notes:
    • This was obtained by reading the raw partitions from media directly using the Amlogic update USB tool v1.3 and the Worldcup drivers.
    • I've verified that the uncompressed IMG file writes back to the device using USB Burning Tool v2.1.2 and boots through setup, but not much beyond that.
    • The reset switch for this device is in the audio jack, so make sure it's depressed when you insert the USB OTG cable in the USB 2.0 port.
Because we can write burn packages, that means we can also write custom ROMs and recoveries, so the next step is to build TWRP for this box.

    Also, here's the build.prop:

    Code:
    # begin build properties
    # autogenerated by buildinfo.sh
    ro.build.id=OPM1.171019.011

Looking forward to custom Roms for this device. Be nice to have top and bottom bars more like beelink.
I posted a twrp here maybe it will help you create a legit one.

You can't have top and bottom bars for AndroidTV OS.
Beelink uses tablet firmware, so for that you can add top and bottom bars.

mo123 how do I comment on someone's post like you did on mine? I know Android TV can't have them I'm hoping someone makes a tablet rom like lineage or one like beelink mini has now.

It would be great if the tablet software is prepared for this device.

Is there a way to spoof it "Google Certified" like the Play Store Visa?

                I tried downloading KM9_OPM1.171019.011 V0828.20181109.img.zip
Download not working. I made a mistake and forgot to backup with twrp and wiped all including system. Is there any other way to restore? I have twrp installed maybe someone could share a twrp backup?

strakv Thanks for the link. I don't have access to a pc at the moment so just downloaded a modded beelink GT1 mini twrp backup made for the x96 Max. Didn't think it would work but it's working okay so far lol.
