Today thanks to our friends at Gearbest we can have a closer look at the
X96S Display Dongle/Stick A8.1 Amlogic S905Y2 Dual WiFi BT4.2

Been awhile since we have seen a Dongle/Stick Device, this should be fun.
Nifty little device by the looks, has a Remote and IR Extender cable.
Also has a small HDMI cable M to F for easier access to HDMI port fitting.
Power supply 5vDC 1.5AMP, with USB Cable, Most TV's today should be able to drive this, but nothing in guaranteed in life.
Previous Boxes made by this Company (if the same) have been good, let's hope for the same.

Good little Startup/Animation
Set up with Wizard Wifi and Google piece of cake,
Interesting and Different UI as will be seen.
Updated a couple apps and installed testers etc.
Has Root access, No SU, also no Upper or Lower Bars.
Remote is only OK, I find needs to be Inline with IR extension or NADA.
Using Logitech k400 ok, Enter/Q problem easy fix.
Found using Mouse on Logitech, the accuracy of clicking on Icons can be hit and miss to non existant thinks its an A8 thing.
Run's a little warm small space not Air Flow to be expected.

I ordered this model, but with 2 gb ram, the Geerbest is presented as a model that has a 5.8GHz, but does not have that option only 2.4GHz.
Here nowhere to be seen whether this model with 4 GB ram has a 5.8 GHz wireless option.
I received a model with 4GB of ram and has a 5.8 GHz WiFi. Model with 2GB of RAM has only 2.4GHz WiFi.
