samsung galaxy s4 and minix miracast.

hi, i have already found out that miracast doesn't work with minix and samsund galaxy s4 , but what i wondering is there an other way to do this?

apps? work around? anything?

miracast is a feture that uses apps like wifidisplay so if you find any miracst app you need miracast support, is not just that you can't do miracst with th s4 and the minix neo x7 but the problem is that th s4 doesnt have miracast support at all. I don't know if thers a rom for the s4 that has miracst support but if there is such thing it should work with the x7.

dlna is not the same a miracast cuz dlna only lets you share media content you can do this with apps like iMedia share (iMediaShare HD - Aplicaciones de Android en Google Play). many people have asked for the same thing as you here and in other forums but nobody knows if there is any way to actually do miracast with a galaxy divice (not that I know of)

what does the s4 use for it's allshare mirror? i mean it must be somewhat similiar? i heard there are some miracast devices that do work with the s4 like the negear ptv3000 i believe. so what does that have that the minix doesn't ?

I've being doing some research and I've found that wireless mirroring with the s4 is only possible with samsung TVs (not all of them) and screens with a samsung dongle connected to them, this means that the screen mirroring feature of the s4 is made to be compatible with samsung divices only (just like iDivices and apple TVs) but this means that there is cearly some special hardware that samsung TVs and the samsung tv dongle have and oviously the x7 doesn't have that because the x7 is just a non-touchscreen android device (I mean that it has the same features as an android divice).

I don't know much about alshare framework but I believe that only streams media (Photos, Videos, etc)

Because of the HDCP problem, the minix neo x7 don't support samsung note 2 and S4. and it won't be fixed by the firmware upgrade or what.
but for nexus 4 or htc one, it can work great.

I can confirm that the samsung s3 and s4 can mirror their screens with netgear push2tv and similar dongles. Im not sure if its wifi-direct or allshare but it uses no internet as well. Why cant this work on X7? I dont see why samsung framework would be needed. Like a earlier comment I see above I want to know what is missing here? Any thoughts?

I would like to know the same. I returned my Negrear push2tv after purchasing X7 in a hope that I will be able to use it for mirroring but so far I have had no luck with Note 3 or Surface Pro 2. I can connect to the device but all I get is a black screen with sound but no display mirroring
