    Motorola Lapdock + T428/MK908 - Thread

    Hi everyone,

I have created a thread in order to help people who want to create that same type of configuration using a Lapdock 100-500-Atrix/Bionic with a T428/MK908 stick.

The following cables are required :

    for USB :

    - Motorola Micro-USB Female to Mini-USB male
    - Mini-USB female to USB male adapter

    for HDMI :

    - Micro-HDMI female to Micro-HDMI male extension cable
    - Micro-HDMI female to HDMI female adapter

I use that same configuration on my ODroid U2 as well and it works perfectly.I have found the Lewy 2.0.3 ROM to work best on these setups.

Lapdocks can be found starting 35$ on Amazon refurb or ****.

Here are some photos of the setup :

Lapdock 100 on the left - Lapdock ATRIX on the right

T428 docks perfectly in the docking slot

It should be self powered once you disconnect it from the wall. I don't have the Lapdock 500 but it should work without much problems since it's HDMI. I would recommend other people to avoid Lapdock 100 though, it is less reliable than the original Lapdock Bionic/Atrix.

        thanks very much,for the answer.

        my project is:

        lapdock 500
        MK908II
        1*HDMI FEMALE
        1*Micro USB, Support OTG
        1*Standard USB
        1*Micro USB for power supply
lapdock 500 have micro usb male and micro hdmi male.
hdmi connect with : cable micro hdmi female to micro hdmi male + adapter micro hdmi female to hdmi male.
        usb connect with 2solutions :
        Solution 1
        1) cable micro usb female to micro usb male ( and connect in to port OTG)
        1) cable usb male to micro usb ( and connect in to port power supply, and one port usb lapdock)

        solution 2
        2) cable Y 1*micro usb female to 2* micro usb male ( connect port lapdock micro usb to port otg and port power supply)
but my thought is,whit solution 2 the cable Y charge MK908 or could cause problems in the current otg?

        thanks

          Hi qkpham,

You had a great idea! I remember you had some pictures on your first post, but currently they're gone. Coud you re-post them? Have some doubts about the power connection between the tv stick and the dock.

          Cheers,

Do you have this configuration successfully setup and if so, do you have any photos or links to purchase the required cables?

              T428 + Lapdock 500 Compatibility

Just wondering if the T428 is compatible with the Motorola Lapdock 500 pro.

Will a high speed HDMI cable cause it to work or are there still random shutdowns?
