eHomeMediaCenter Media Player can not detect files on UPuP-AV Server

For some reason, eHomeMediaCenter Media Player (2.0.27_121217) on my MK808B (Android 4.2.2 Finless 2.1 ROM) can not detect any media files on my external NAS running UPNP-AV Media Server, eHomeMediaCenter can detect the NAS Media Server and it also can see the folders under the Server, but no files or any sub-directories can be seen inside the folders.

However, using an alternative Media Player BubbleUPnP is able to access and play the files on the NAS Media Server correctly.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced silimiar issues with eHomeMediaCenter? If there are fixes available to address this problem? Thanks!

The simplest way to avoid that problem is to install plex media server.
Enjoy all of your entertainment, no matter where it lives, plus 50,000+ free titles from us.

Its completely free and ehomemedia can see it just fine.

It can also be set to auto scan the folders when changes are made keeping them up to date.

      Thanks for your suggestion.

I have taken a look at the Plex Media Server, unfortunately it does not appear to support my D-Link NAS model, which is an ARM based Linux system.

Install it on your main pc and then add the shares from your dlink to it.

          Understood and thanks!

Needing to leave the PC powered on kind of defeat the purpose of having a stand alone NAS, I would like to seek an alternative solution to this problem if available.
