    Is this the rom for the 8g2 8gb capacitive or the 4gb resistive screen.

      It's the 8G2 Resistive screen called the "dual touch".

      Don't know about the 8 vs 4 gb part for the dual touch. I know that is an issue on the 8 G2 but may not apply to the dual touch?

      All I know is I have gotten several PMs here with guys wanting it because they are bricked after flashing the regular 8G2 ROM.

        Not to worry, I dont have the resistive screen but I have downloaded the file and am uploading it to dropbox for you know.

              Hi Bob. I´m ENJOYING your rom 1.15b for my arnova 10 g2, it´s fantastic, smooth, fast, ....
              Ok, my son has an arnova 8 g2 8gb DT and trying to flash a rom from Morka (it´s the only cooked rom for that model) I bricked the tablet. Adm from Arctablet gave me a rom with google play and rooted but there is problems with that rom; tablet doesn´t run smooth and I have to flash the rom two times in a day. So, I need your help cause my son can´t enjoy the tablet. Maybe can help you look for that cooked rom from Adm (Arctablet), so here is link to the rom.

                The other ROM I got seems like a clean dump.
                Since your bricked along with others I will try to get you at least a 1.4 with Gplay that works.
                Later I can do the debloat 1.5. It takes longer to figure out a 1.5 and I am sure you would like a ROM now to fix you?

                  Hi, I have an Arnova 8 G2 8Gb DT:

                  Model no: AN8G2DT
                  Android ver: 2.3.1
                  Kernel: 2.6.32.27
                  Build no: 1.0.4.GINGERBREAD.eng.root.20111027.154334

                  I downloaded the 8G2-4DT.zip and seems different from the stock on my tablet (I checked only the build.prop)

                  Mine is still running the stock ROM, i tried to dump the rom both using the z4root/gingerbreack/adb/rkdump and the rkflashtool but in the first case I was not able to root the device, and dumping the raw partitions using rkflash the img files are unreadable mounted as cramfs ... seems to me are encrypted in some way ...

                  Any suggestion?

                    Thank you very much Bob. I don't mind a 1,14 version, I just need an stable rom for my son and, of course, better with google play and root; but I wouldn't mind if no root. thank you again

                      I am not using the seperate files. backup.img is all we need. I will pull it apart and see if it looks right.

                        That dump looks great! Loader is old version. The parameter file is in fact for the 10g2DT

                        So it looks good.

                        Do you guys want a stock ROM first to test it for stability?

                            Yes lets do the stock ROM first with no root or anything. If it is not stable or something is wrong with it, then I should not use it to make a rooted ROM.

                            I looked extensively at this ROM while apart and it all looks proper to me. It is a ripped a part backup.img (update.img in reality). I did not use the other dumped parts as they could be messed up by people using rooting tools. It is always best to use a backup.img dump as it is in fact an untouched copy of the original ROM.

                            Please flash this entirely!
                            Using the flash tool erase IDB AND check the loader box!!!
