Debloat 1.5 apps for 1211#

    Debloat 1.5 apps for 1211#

    OK since I cannot figure out what these are can someone tell me what these are and if they should be removed as part of debloat or if they are required to be there. I tried them on my Arnova and while they installed I cannot see what they do!

    FYI even if I remove them in my 1.5 ROM you will still be able to put them back after flash with the App Injector. So I just need to know if these should be removed or if they are manditory.

    AutoTimeService.apk

    DelectFile.apk

    TaskKill.apk

    Bob the Auto time service is for the Stock clock that comes with the original rom for the clock on the Home page , the Taskkill is also from the stock rom for the generic task killer with the original rom, the DelectFile im not sure of, by my vote you can remove the stock clock and task killer as i use downloaded custom versions from the market, i cant vote or help on the Delectfile as i dont know what it is for,if you want me to preform any test to search for its origin or function just tellme what to do. Im always eager to help. On a side note looks like NB7 is winning the pol and i hope it does. im eager to play with 1.5 too

      Anthony, I have gone ahead and removed all that stuff and will make a test ROM without it and we will find out

        Ok i was just about to ask you if yoyu wanted me to reflash back to the stock rom and delete each one of those apps one by one and see what happens if it crashes or not

          Well if you want to do that it for sure would help! That way I know for sure what to remove and what not to.

            Bob,
            earlier I gutted my Nextbook 7 to see exactly what was or wasn't needed. I can say for certain AutoTimeService.apk and TaskKill.apk are not needed. I have yet to figure out what DelectFile.apk does, so I wouldn't remove it.

              Slide Pee

              Di you remove the kobo reader and slide me market? I pretty much want EVERYTHING that is not need gone, that would be sweet. I tried removing kobo and slide me with rom tool but then super user didnt like that so i reflashed and just left it alone lol. Everything that ive ever used came from the market

                I had no problem removing Kobo or any other user/system app with Titanium Backup and SU.

                  FYI lessons learned from other tablets. I cannot remove phone.apk. It causes many other things in settings.apk to crash. So just FYI.

                    With me, you should keep all apps and all features (Arnova 9G2) in your 1.5 ROM
                    Video's feature (as film, video... downloaded from Youtube) need have full screen mode (like Moka's ROM). Video player in version 1.4 hasn't full screen mode.
