H96 Pro plus voltages - no 3vs in board, no signal hdmi, no led light, no turn on - Pics High Res inside

    Hello everybody,

I have a H96 pro + with failure in the power stages. The tv box just worked a couple of hours and went out, giving these cues.
I have already checked the transformer, and it had the capacitors defective, which are already changed.
Now I am reviewing the motherboard, and I have detected that it is failing in the power stages, and I can not find exact references to know what it might be.

Attached photos with the values of volts wich the boardis showing.

    Somebody could help me?

    Thanks in advance.

Pic with volts (all values are with reference to ground):

Donno that big arsed resistor is not right... could be the issue. Also the vender should have replaced it, if it died before warranty.

now that there are repairs done, i doubt they will honor replacement, and more difficult to trouble shoot.

What you should be able to do is, identify 5v locations when powered. LEDs are controlled by voltage checks. If various sub voltages are dead, the system will not pass initial boot start stages.

i use a usb sd card adapter with led to verify usb ports have 5v when plugged in. It keeps from having to open the box to trouble shoot.

if you get 5v at usb, most likely both stages have 5v applied when power is applied. Once you identify 5v, check each stage for voltages. You should find .9v 1.2v, 1.5v, 1.8v, and 3.3v. If any are missing the systrm will not initialize for power on boot sequences.

        Thank you for you answer.

Where the big resistance, there was a smd resistance 4R7 something burned, with bad performance giving 37 Ohms. The big resistance is in substitution and it has 5 Ohms, then i think that is ok (4R7 is like 4.7 ohms). (the previous capacitor was also changed, 220uF)

On the LEDs I can read 0.4v on pin "r", and 0.5v on pin "b".

The usbs give a reading of 0vs, measured directly on the pinout.

I think that as you say, the system is not able to start due to a failure in the power stage, which may have some ic defective and therefore the voltages are lower.

Attach an image with the tensions in case someone could give me an idea of what tensions I should expect in each of the read pins.

        Thanks again.

not sure but i think it was a S905 ??? , but not sure , hope you can fix it anyway ,

no power over USB port possible ??? , was the H96Pro+ not one of them , did you

read the Superceleron Firmware Thread for this Box think there you can find Infos
