Need help with older bricked MXQ

A newbie to this forum and Android TV boxes needs serious help.
Need help with older MXQ which just shows a red led and will not show on USB cable setup.
I have disassembled it and found some info on one chip, if this helps?

This is for a disabled friend, so I'm keen to get it going for him. Would appreciate help with '.img' file and pins to short.
I have tried the internet, but the choices are endless.

I think the box in question may be an older MXQ using an AML S805 CPU.

From the date shown in the last info you listed, board date is 2015-12-26, I think your MXQ may be using an AML S805. While I cannot be certain, you may want to look in the following thread for some clues. Many variations of the MXQ exist.. https://forum.freaktab.com/forum/tv-...ones-directory
