H96 max plus 4/32 newbie question

Hi there im a newbie when it comes to flashing
I've successfully flashed my box once
But it wipes out all my apps and I have to reset everything up.
I'd like to tinker around with it
So I have 2 questions
Is there any way to flash update firmware without Loosing all my apps?
And is there anyway to backup my box with batchtool in its current state with apps and all in an image file that I can just flash to the box at a later time and have everything already all installed?

I don't really like the way the Netflix works so I'd like to try different versions last time I did they would only work with a mouse and not a remote and I had to reflash and reinstall everything

if your box is "rooted" you can use TitaniumBackup and similar Apps to backup your

Apps & Data , if available you can use TWRP Recovery ,
