I have been visiting this site for some time for help with various boxes, but have finally given up and registered for your help with this one.
I purchased this box from FB marketplace knowing it didn't work. All she could tell me was there was a blue light but no signal on the screen, Got it for $20 CAD figured pfft whats 20$ if i can or can't fix it.
So lets begin. I started by many searches forums and videos, many videos on the blue light issue, with many replies from upgrade power plug to a 3A to replacing a capacitor on motherboard. Well i couldn't find a 3A power, one video a guy wrote that he used a 7.5V 2A and it worked. Well I found one of those and it didn't work for me.
So I found many threads on this site and found the mega link to all the firmwares for this box. I first tried multiple attempts with card maker and multiple files, but with box not having a connection to the tv the card method was not working. So I loaded burn tool and tried that, didn't work, multiple firmwares and different errors from licence keys to uboot and many others. After loading licence file to burn tool I no longer received the key error but many other errors.
So off to more searching, one option I found was a video on using burn tool to load original droid 6 firmware. Well omg low and behold first attempt burn successful, unplugged and hooked to tv, and bam! all my work paid off, a working box woohoo..
Off to step two, now that I have a working box, to try card maker again to upgrade to 7.1. Guess what, it didn't work, the android guy flashed on and off and back to the light blue lite and no connection across the tv, nothing would work to boot it back up, so back to the computer reboot 6 and back to the tv to try again with a different file. Same results, back to 6 I went.
So at this point I figured I'd use burn tool, didn't work, error after error file after file. Once again back to searching, this time I find a post where someone asked if a wisdom file will work on a V5/V6 and the reply was no only on a 2.2-3, so I opened the wisdom folder (on the mega page) and there is two files listed so like anyone I tried the newest date. omg it worked! burn successful. off to tv I go. It booted up and was working but very buggy. Would freeze and need unplugged, would reset on its own, wifi would cut in and out. So figured if that worked I'd try the earlier date, well it burned successful as well. Hooked it in to the tv and it booted fine, its was working pretty dam good, not perfect but usable.
So now that I have a working file on 7.1 I figured I'd try another factory firmware but nothing. error after error after error. so I put the wisdom back on and been using it for a couple days, wifi has been great, its froze once or twice, boot screen has had half the screen pixelated but clears on next screen. otherwise working good.
I'm sorry for the long sorry but now your up to date, so any idea why the only two files that are working are original android 6 and the wisdom firmwares??? any help is appreciated. I'd like to put a factory firmware as the wisdom is a minor buggy.
