    CX-919ii ROM first look

    OMG guys! I started looking at the CX-919ii ROM.

    WHAT A PIECE OF SHIT!

    This ROM is so bad that I cannot believe they even released this product!
    I can see why GeekBuying does not even carry it!

    The stock ROM reminds me of kindergarden school or say a ROM made almost a year ago by a child!

    The good thing is I think the hardware might be solid and just needs a kick ass ROM.

    Stay tuned...

    Seriously WHAT A POS ROM!

    I do not have a CX-919ii device but I flashed this to my CX-919. Wifi and BT wont work of course...

    BUT this POS ROM is the worst thing I have seen from a company to date!
    It's probably no wonder Geekbuying, etc wont carry and sell this stick!

    But this can be fixed..... Again stay tuned...

          lol. After taking off on vacation for a month and lazily not getting around to . . . anything, I finally decided I should buy my CX-919. First I checked to see if there was some frightening 8 core 16GB demon out there at a reasonable price and instead noticed the CX-919II. I wan't sure if the duel antenna's were a joke or if they actually made a notable improvement. I was also wondering if there where any other noteworthy improvements.

          From what I am getting from your befuddled response, is that the unit may not live up to the originals quality. I would however be interested in knowing if this is purely software or if it is in fact a complete cluster f**k.

              cx-919 ll

              hello bob i just got the cx-919 ll yesterday , First of all when I started it , It was rebooting every single second. Then I got in touch with the provider and I explained what happened about this issue. & They told me to do factory reset but it didn't work. Then they sent me the update firmware for this product. This the link http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shar...5&uk=121019752 this firmware is supposed to be the last update from cx-919 ll. After I did the firmware this crap didn't work at all. Showing no signal on my tv. I tried my mk808b and it worked normal on my tv. Means there's no issue on my hdmi. Now it just doesn't wanna work at all the cx-919 ll , Hopefully you can do a good firmware for this product , Because I had in the beginning when I started I had good wifi signal, The only problem was the issue that I just explained to you. Again this product from ali express , I may think I may return it tomorrow. There's just a big issue about the rebooting and the no signal. Thank you.

                  Same thing from my side

                  The stock stick comming from china would'nt even show on my tv screen, when pluggin into my laptop, usb storage mode showed me it had notting but empty folder on the stick's memory. I flashed it with what was supposedly the stock ROM, to at least have it run (using Rockchip batch tool, it would not show as a device, i hade to manually add code lines to the config file)

                  No luck with the new ROM install, it still will not sho anything on my TV. (it could be my HDMI inputs that are not working, I've never tested them with anything else).

                  Finless - with your tool I'm unable to have it identified as a device. Rockusb device shows no problem in device manager and like I said I was able to flash the " stock" Rom on there.

                  Would you know why you flash kit cannot detect the stick when Rockchip tool (with modified config file) can ?

                  malditango - what is the factory reset ??
