TX3 Black screen
Not the typical black screen of death but a total black screen when i power it up. I tried installing some new firmware on the box and after installing one named tx3minip281-ota-20181106 when i power the box on i get a total black screen no logo nothing. Android recovery mode doesnt come on. What can I do to fix this?Tags: None

So no one knows anything about this? If I make a Male to Male USB connector and hook it up to my computer will I be able to put on new firmware? I think I'll start using the firmware from this site for my next attempt. Will hooking the box up to my computer allow me to by pass the bad firmware? Anyone?
There has to be some way I can get this box up and running again.
Also i took apart 3 USB connections last night 1 had 4 wires the other 2 had 3 and then a metallic wire sort of thing surrounding the 3 wires. My understanding is I should have 4 wires. I take it that metallic shroud around the other 3 is my 4th wire?

tx3minip281-ota-20181106 only works for boxes shipped after Nov 2018.
You`ll have to flash a previous firmware using PC.
These later TX3 Mini with tx3minip281-ota-20181106 firmware onwards will not work with previous firmware.
AND playback is only 720p.
Tanix could kindly fix this.Last edited by Johnoo; 06 May 2019, 08:38.

Wow ok my box shipped Oct last year so i just missed it. You think they would have at least allowed you access to recovery mode with the bad firmware. The original firmware took 15 or 20 minutes to load then i got a newer firmware from tanix that worked for a few weeks then my USB keyboard and mice stopped working and even the remote so i tried the p firmware. I think I'll try the firmware on this forum. I've programmed 100's of boxes and barely ever ran into an issue i couldn't solve but this is a new one.
Thank you so much for your time in your reply I've had alot of anxiety over this as it's my own box for my bedroom it barely gets used but I want it working.
