Tronsmart CX919 bricked? (no HDMI signal)

I'm not the only one that has issues with fineless on the tronsmart CX 919. I tried flashing it several time with no luck and correct me if I'm wrong, it should be no different from flashing Neomode's ROM. Now if there some special trick to it please let me know and I will gladly try it. After trying to flash fineless I get no HDMI signal which is the same result many others have had.

I've got a tronsmart cx 919 and finless 1.5 is working well. Just wondering/ try to understand why you mentioned that Finless Rom is not working.

I'd love to get to the bottom of all this, because it's been super frustrating. I'm working with a device I got Saturday from Geekbuying fulfilled through Amazon (if there's anything else to help identify revisions or anything, let me know and I'll provide details). With the Finless setup, I couldn't even get HDMI out, but the Neomode seems to work (aside from the issue with Xposed and getting Netflix to run properly).

Can I ask which configs you're using with Finless? It seems that is one of the "preferred" ROMs for the CX919 devices, so I'd like to run that if possible -- but in general, I just want to get 720p Netflix running no matter what system software/firmware I've got on the thing!

I use the finless 1.5 with kernel_simson720 that came with it.
not a fan of overclocking if its already fast enough.
compare to mk908-kernel-test2 it's hotter
that's about it.

Summary: Finless 1.5 works OK CX-919 with AP6210 if you use IHJ kernel, but not with default Simon kernel.

Hey, thanks, but that's still not helping with the Finless package. Still black screen with Finless default settings, kernel "kerneljjh-400mhz-720p.img" from the Finless 1.5 package. For the second time, I even did the following:

-Erase NAND
-unplug, wait 30 seconds
-Erase NAND again
-unplug, wait 30 seconds
-Flash ROM with jjh kernel
-nothing, black no HDMI signal

I've bought 2 CX-919's and I was able to use Finless 1.5 on the first one, but was having the same problem as you with the most recent CX-919 that I received. I tried all the kernels that came with the Finless 1.5 package, but none of them worked. I stumbled upon a thread for the CX919 with a new wifi chip (. I then tried
this Rom installer

run the RKAndroidTool.exe from this

I hope this helps. Im still hoping that the Finless 1.5 gets fixed so that it will work on the CX-919 with the new wifi chip. I really like that rom.

Thanks, it looks like that's the Neomode ROM with the Sam firmware I was able to get running earlier based on someone else's suggestion. I'd be fine with that - except Netflix doesn't run stably at all, nor does it pull in HD content. So, I tried running the Xposed fix everyone keeps talking about, and it won't install the Xposed framework (in spite of it being packaged with the Neomode ROM).

I appreciate everyone's help here, but unfortunately I'm stuck with a device that doesn't really do much for me at the moment. I'll continue to keep my eye out, but in a week or so if there's no new software, sadly it's going to have to go back while I can still return it.

Oh man, I havent had much time with the rom, I just got it working last night, and it was getting really late to test anything. Thats too bad, that Netflix doesnt work well, I was hoping to use it for Netflix and XBMC along with DirecTV Sunday Ticket and HBO Go. Im really happy with my 1st cx-919 with Finless 1.5 because all of those apps work just great. Hopefully we can get a Finless 1.5 working. Thank you Devs for all your work !!!!

He was able to find the problem, and the latest version of his ROM package will work fine on this device. Thanks to Bob for his time! Here's the latest (as of 10/18/2013) version of the Finless ROM, 1.6a:

Wait a minute you said finless doesn't work on all cx919 devices.
