android 8.1 usb ports

have around 5 different usb gaming controllers that wont work on box with android 8.1 (x96max s905x2)
few wont work at all and odd one just one button works
wireless controllers are the same
bluetooth controllers are hit and miss

android 9 and android 7


same controllers on android 9 (tanix tx6 h6) and android 7 (x96mini s905) work fine as they should do
even the usb controllers work on the ones that are not android 8

any ideas guys

Hi ,

the keylayoutfile must be changed on this Boxes , to make them work , that is a Problem of many AML

Boxes , for this "root" is needed , think you can find all you need here in Forum , good luck / gefattern

yes i believe these x96maxx2 are rooted anyway from new

i didnt know they came rooted and i put that supersu on it and it bricked the box..wouldnt boot back up so i had to reflash the image

i'l have read through the x96max posts
