Mk808b new clone 4.2.2 video playback skipping frames

I just got an mk808b clone from amazon and it runs well but all videos from usb seem to skip frames. I have tried mx player, xbmc etc...

Does anyone else ever have issues playing back video?

Does anyone know any fixes?

p.s. I was looking in to flashing a new rom but mine has the mediatek wifi and bt chipset, the board is the same as this one:

Use CWM to backup your rom to SDCard

Then upload it somewhere.
Someone can extract the wifi drivers and put it into a custom rom for you with this tool

Make sure Hardware Decoding is activated in MX Player.

CWM starts before Android, so i guess root access is not an issue. The better question is: Does the CWM for mk808b work on all clones?

I tried both cwm mk808b and mk808b-mt but both failed with an error saying:


"Assert failed :getprop("ro.product.device") =="rk3066"||getprop("ro.product.device")= "rk30sdk"
installation aborted"

I think I need to edit the script, need to do some more digging, cheers anyway.

Update, I have now managed to root the device

Ah someone with my device that's managed to root! Are you running Windows 7? I have a feeling Windows 8 is making it a lot more difficult for me. sigh..

Sorry to hijack the thread a little but you have my device and seem to know what you're doing! I flashed Imito ROM which worked with this device minus bluetooth but I had lag watching video, I'm now trying to go back to stock but neither wifi nor bluetooth seems to be coming on with it now.. I'm currently Erasing the NAND then flashing the .img via Rickchip Batch Tool. Am I missing anything?

Or do you have the stock from from your device you could upload? (If you could upload it with it pre-rooted somehow I'd love you forever :P)

Titanium Backup just backups your apps, not your rom. A backup of the entire rom is much more difficult. Maybe you can do it with the help of this tutorial: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...sing-ADB-guide
